Sweater Weather Tag!!

So, If you haven't noticed I've been MIA for a few weeks, I've just been ridiculously busy with work and school and it'll probably stay this way until mid December. But, for now I'm trying to post as much as I can and I was scrolling through my bloglovin feed and came across a sweater weather tag and thought, why not? So here it is!!

What is your favourite candle scent?
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles by Bath and Body Works is my absolutely favourite Autumnal candle!!

Pumpkin Pecan Waffles 3-Wick Candle - Home Fragrance - Bath & Body WorksPumpkin Pecan Waffles 3-Wick Candle - Home Fragrance - Bath & Body WorksCoffee, tea of hot chocolate?
This is a hard one because I am equally fond of Starbucks' PSL and the Tazo Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte. BUT..... if I had to choose, I think I would go for the PSL from Starbucks!!!

What is your favourite autumn memory?
My favourite autumn memory would probably have to be coming home from school when I was a kid, grabbing the rake and building up huge piles of leaves with my closest friends and then taking turns jumping in the pile.  Or, going on late night creepy adventures around our elementary school with my best friends!!

Autumn make up trend: Winged eye liner or dark lips?
Neither, though I do love cat eyes and vampy lips, I just tend to go for a more natural look for fall. I actually prefer bold brows, pink lip balm, rose blush, and champagne eyes!!

Favourite autumn fragrance?
See by Chloe!!

Favourite Autumn/Thanksgiving food?
Warm apple pie with a little bit of vanilla ice cream on top!!

What is the autumn weather like where you live?
It's generally quite chilly with the occasional rainy day!!

What is your most worn sweater?
I'd say it would have to be any of my Roots sweaters!!

What is your most worn autumn nail polish?
I'm very low maintenance when it comes to nail polish so I usually stick to just wearing my Dior Nail Glow. If by some weird chance I do feel like wearing nail polish, it would probably be a deep burgundy!!

Football games or jumping in leaves?
Neither, I'm not huge on sports and I've jumped in enough pile of leaves in my day. My favourite autumn activities would be decorating for Halloween and watching scary movies!!

Ugg boots or Combat boots?
Combat boots. To be honest, as long as my boots are easy to put on and comfy, I am good.

Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
100% yes.

Skinny jeans or leggings?
Jeggings!!!

If you're reading this post then you are hereby tagged!!! Leave a link to your blog post in the comment section, I'd love to see your answers!!

My Sweater Weather Wishlist!!

Oh yeah, fall is upon us and I am beyond excited!! So naturally, I've put together a few of my absolute fall wants and needs, including everything from makeup to coffee!!

So first we have this amazing fragrance by Chloe that I've been wanting for quite some time. It's definitely not the stereotypical fall fragrance but I think it's fairly versatile and can work in any season!! To put it plainly, it smells like apples and honey and I absolutely love it!!
Toques are an absolute necessity living in Canada since it can get quite chilly during Autumn. I really like that this one is two toned and army green is one of my favourite colours for fall and it pairs with my burgundy coloured hair!!
If you can't tell, I love Roots. They have some of the most comfortable and cozy sweaters you'll ever find. Granted, their prices are a bit steep, but quality wise, you absolutely get what you pay for!! If you're still not sold on paying over $70 on a hoodie, Roots always has 30% off sales, which usually brings the sweaters to around $55 depending on the price!!!

I've never been a huge plaid person but I'm really into it this year, I've already bought a couple flannels and a scarf. It just screams fall to me, and it's so cozy and warm, which like I said, is much needed in Canada's cold fall weather!!

Yes, I did include coffee in my wishlist, I am that serious about my caffeine!! PSL are my favourite lattes, they just make everything feel right in the world. There is some controversy about the ingredients in the drinks, but hopefully Starbucks will sort that out soon!!

So, other than the fact that these headphone are insanely gorgeous, they are also really great for those who bus or travel a lot and want to drown out the noises around them. I don't bus much anymore, but I mean look at them, who wouldn't want them!! They are so unique and fashionable and rose gold is my favourite!!!

My go to fall shadows are mostly neutrals, which i why I really love this palette. It's got pearls and mattes in browns, pinks and taupes, it just has the perfect combo of fall eyeshadows.

I've never actually tried a brown eyeliner, but I've been seeing this Mac kohl eyeliner everywhere and it looks gorgeous. I always feel like black eyeliners are too harsh and a brown eyeliner would be a softer, less harsh alternative!!

Oh my god, if you know me at all, you know that my love for Bath & Body Works is undying!! But really, Bath and Body Works candles are my holy grail candles. Their fall & pumpkin scents are my favourite out of all of their candles, so naturally, I want them all!!

So there you have it, all the things that I covet for Autumn!! Since I started writing this post I actually bought a couple of these products and they'll be included in collective fall haul, so be excited for that :)!!

July Favs

Is it just me or did summer go by really fast? I can't believe were a week into August already :( But I do have to say July was a good month for makeup, there were so many products that I absolutely loved!!

Beauty

My most favourite beauty product was definitely the IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation & Brush Duo, but specifically the brush, it is amaaaazing!! I really liked the powder as well. Usually, Powder dries my skin out but not this one, and the coverage is definitely full and flawless!

While were talking about foundation, another I've been alternating with this past month was the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hr Foundation. When I first got this foundation I wasn't too thrilled with it, it felt too heavy but after playing around with a couple different brushes I found it works best with a flat top kabuki, like the IT cosmetics brush. It definitely feels nicer now that I'm using the right brush with it!! It is a full coverage foundation and a really good one at that, it covers any blemishes and even the redness I get in my cheeks that is so hard to fully cover.

Continuing with face products, I got a Purlisse Pur-Moist Moisturizer in a Topbox back in April and I've loved it ever since. I refuse to pay over $50 for the full size so I've been swapping for it and I've accumulated about 6 or 7 of the samples which are a fairly decent size at 15ml and they last so long. I don't know what it is about it but unlike every other moisturizer I've used, this one actually made a difference in my skin and cleared up all my blemishes and even reduced the amount of acne I would get weekly.

I just recently picked up the Essence Beach Cruiser Blush is 01 -  I   Summer Break from Shoppers and lemme tell you, it is absolutely stunning. I've been dying over the Mac Blush Ombre in Ripe Peach, which unfortunately discontinued, so when I saw this I had a major freakout and had to have it, it is just soooooo perfect and it doesn't hurt that it's $4!!!

Can we just take a minute to bask in the glory that is this blush, ahhhhhh.

I've had a couple of lip products I've been loving this month, The Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, which I just realized was in my May Favourite (goes to show you how much I love it) and the Soap & Glory A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm in Sweet Coconut. As I've said before, my lips are constantly chapped so I need lip scrubs in my life, I really want to try the popcorn one from Lush too, their scrubs are just so good!! The Lip Balm from Soap & Glory, which is one of my favourite beauty brands out there, is so moisturizing, it's clear but it has a little sparkle to it. Best part is I got it on sale for $5 at Shoppers!!

Now, onto fragrances, I've mostly been using my gorgeous metallic pink Travalo filled with See By Chloe, which is a perfume I have yet to own (soon, very soon.) I can't get enough of it, it smells like heaven, and the Travalo is just so convenient, I always keep it in my bag so I don't have to carry around a full perfume bottle!! I got the Something About Sofia by Benefit quite awhile ago and forgot about it since I used to leave it in its adorable packaging, but I rediscovered it earlier in July and I've been using it ever since, it smells so so pretty, I believe it has notes of mangoes, peonies, lilies, vanilla, and caramel!! It's now discontinued but Benefit has a lot of really nice fragrances for sale on their website right now!!

Accessories
There have been three accessories I've been loving in July!! My black round glasses from Forever 21, they are just so fun and I pretty sure they were only like $2!!

I've also been loving my new Cara necklace from Chapters, It is honestly the prettiest necklace I own. I'm very cheap when it comes to jewellery since I don't wear it enough to justify spending loads of money on necklaces or bracelets so when I saw this in Chapters a few months ago, I fell in love with it but I did not fall in love with the price! Thankfully, I was perusing their clearance section online and I found it for only $10 and had to buy immediately since there were only a couple left!!

Lastly, I'm obsessed with the makeup pouch that my Ipsy products came in this month, it is a bright neon pink faux leather material. I didn't want to use it for makeup though since I don't want any spillage to ruin it so I use it as a  makeshift wallet for when I don't want to carry my full wallet and only need a couple cards and cash. It's also perfect passport size!!

MISC

Random stuff I've been loving this month ; Oreo Iced Caps from Timmies, True Detective(tv), Dr. Dre's Chronic Album, The Fosters(tv), my Ipad, & Ikea trips.

SO, that's it for my July favs, what were your favourite things in July?

My Can't Stop/ Won't Stop Beauty Product Purchase!!

Woah, that is a mouthful! So, if any of you are like me then you probably have a beauty product that you literally can't and won't stop buying. For me, it's blush, oh my lord, I can't even begin to explain my perpetual love for blush. Whenever I go shopping for makeup I pretty much always gravitate towards all the blush sections in the store before I even think about looking at any other product, it's a serious problem!!

What's your can't stop/won't stop beauty product purchase?

Workspace Inspiration Roundup!!

Currently my workspace is extremely lacking, and by lacking I mean practically non-existent. I've been really obsessed with Pinterest lately and there have been so many gorgeous work space pins that are give me tons of ideas and inspiration, so I've rounded up a few of my favourite workspaces!!

Why I Love It: I think its really important to be inspired in your workspace and that's why I love the  little uplifting and encouraging quotes. The first this that caught my eye in this space was the cities calender since I'm pretty much obsessed with everything Rifle & Paper Co. and also the flowers because they are beautiful. Also, the fact that the desk is attached directly to the wall is such an amazing way to save space!! (source)

Why I Love It: What's not to love?? The artwork above the desk is insanely gorgeous, it definitely brings the whole space together. I also love the ampersand light, it adds a really nice glow to the space. There's also a beautiful rustic feel to this work place, with the weathered wood frame, the antique flower vase and the wire basket!! (source)

Why I Love It: I've always wanted a clock like the one picture above, it's so gorgeous and unique and it ties in with the black and white rug and the black board. I also really love the use of patterns in this space, the stripes, chevron, polka dot, and the use of muted pastel colours!! (source)
Why I Love It: I really love the stark contrast between the black and white, which I think is one of the nicest colour combinations in any room. I also really like the interesting black & white artwork and the tan an grey accents incorporated throughout the space (source)!!

Home office
Why I Love It: I think it's so neat that the desk is pulled off the wall, which you don't see much in home offices. There is so much to love about this space, the cute little Moroccan pouf under the desk, all the artwork leaning on the window sill, the gold pencil holder, the beautiful pink patterned rug, and the very tall lamp (source)!!

Dream work space

Why I Love It: For starters I just love how this space has a very soft and feminine feel to it but still incorporates this very loud and crazy art collage on the wall. It's really important to be comfortable in your office as well and that's why the fur on the chairs is such a nice touch, especially if you are constantly working at your desk. There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this office, it's perfect in every way!!! (source)

Why I Love It: Once again the artwork above the desk really brings this space together and ties in all the pink accents on the desk. My favourite piece is definitely the ghost chair since you really cannot go wrong with anything lucite (source) !!

workspace1

Why I Love It: I just love the simplicity of this desk, there is no crazy artwork or tons of decor but it still works so well. It goes to show that you really only need a few gorgeous pieces, like the mint lamp and the gold pineapple and you can create a beautiful work space (source)!!

I definitely want my future apartment workspace to have a similar vibe to the ones above, very uplifting and colourful but also simple with the use of lots of blacks and whites and muted colours, like mints and corals. Also, an iMac wouldn't hurt (well actually it probably would hurt....my bank account) but I'll probably have to hold off on that till I move into a new apartment next year.

What's your must have office item?

Summer Essentials!!

I've put together a list of items that I find absolutely essential throughout the hot hot summer months!!

Sandals

No one wants smelly and sweaty feet during the summer days, so light and airy footwear is an absolute essential, these three are my go to shoes for the summer.

Sunnies

Sunglasses are extremely important during summer, especially if you have sensitive eyes, like myself. It also doesn't hurt that they're really cute too!! I don't usually spend a lot on sunnies, since I seem to have this habit of breaking them....... My Ray Bans are definitely my most expensive pair but I usually get all my other ones from Forever 21.

Ray Ban Polarized Original Wayfarer Classic Sunglasses - $250 - $325(with prescription)
Forever 21 Black Wayfarer Sunglasses - $6.80
Forever 21 Black Large Sunglasses -$6.80
Forever 21 Black Round Sunglasses - $6.80

*The Forever 21 links are for similar sunglasses since they no longer sell the ones shown above.

Hair Products

It's always good having hair products that'll actually help your hair during the summer. Dry shampoo is good if your hair easily gets sweaty and greasy and you need a quick fix and sprays that help prevent humidity from ruining your hair are a godsend during the hot and humid days. I also love using sea salt sprays, they smell so nice and they give your hair a beachy look.

Facial Mists

I really love refreshing mists, especially on those scorching hot days when you just need a quick breeze. Mac Fix + is definitely my favourite, I especially love the mini version since it's easier for traveling and just throwing it in your bag.

Beauty

I'm a huge believer in wearing very light makeup during summer, I usually opt for no foundation and instead use concealer where needed or use a BB cream. I also find it better to stick with cream products than powder, such as cream blushes and highlighters. Since makeup tends to just melt off your face in the hotter days, eye primer is much needed, using one with colour is great since it eliminates the need for more eyeshadow.

Nail Polish

Now I'm not a huge nail polish lover but I know a lot of you guys are. I recently picked up the Dior Nail Glow and it is my new holy grail nail product, it is so easy and carefree to apply. It's simple yet so insanely gorgeous. On the rare occasion that I do wear nail polish, I usually lean towards more muted and pastel colours, these two are my favourite!!

Misc

There is nothing better than a good book in the summer. I don't get much time to read recreationally during school months, so I try to read as much as I can during the summer. I know there's a lot of controversy surrounding e-reading but I think it's all rubbish, doesn't matter what you're using as long as you actually pick up a book (or kobo) and read!!! Another thing I always do during Summer is catch up on all my TV shows, I've finally caught up on Game of Thrones (OMG is all i have to say) and The Mentalist and I'm about 8 episodes away from finally watching all of the Criminal Minds series (only took me a year and a half) Another summer essential is a good music playlist and some speakers, I'm obsessed with the Bose SoundLink Mini, it is amazzzzing!!

So that's it for my Summer essentials, what are yours?

May Favourites!!

Hello, It's monthly favourites time again, I cannot believe May is already over, it feels like its just begun. It was really hard to not go overboard this month as I had A LOT of favourites, I had to really dwindle it down to an acceptable amount. There are quite a few different favourite this month, from beauty and hair to music and TV shows. Hope you enjoy xx
So let's start with beauty products, I was definitely reaching for these products the most this month and I love them all equally, without further ado, here are my favourite beauty and non-beauty bits and bobs :)

BEAUTY
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - $64
I've had this since it came out but I've only just started using during May and I have to say it's totally worth all the hype. It comes in a beauty rose gold case with 12 brand new gorgeous rose-hued shades.

L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream in Medium- $12
I decided to buy this after getting a couple recommendation for the foundation. I figured the BB cream would be just as good but with a lighter coverage and feel. This stuff is so good, it has great lighter coverage, it's easy to blend, and it works amazingly for the hotter days since it's doesn't have a heavy foundation feel.

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bikini Tini - $24
I've been loving using this as an alternative to using a regular primer. It's smudge proof and crease resistant and lasts all day.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - $10
I literally always have chapped lips,  it's really annoying but this has been a godsend, I use it regularly and then immediately put Vaseline on my lips and they've been so moisturized and smooth.

Nyx Powder Blush in Desert Rose - $5
I got this in a set of 3 from Hautelook a couple years ago but never really tried any of the blushes since they were a lot darker than I liked, so they were all thrown in the back of my makeup storage and forgotten about until a couple weeks ago. Now I'm all about blush, it's my favourite type of makeup and I love experimenting with all different colours and this has been my favourite since I found it again.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush - $9
Stippling brushes are my favourite since they are so versatile, you can use them for pretty much everything. I usually use mine for blush, especially with more pigmented blushes as you can really control how much colour you want to show.

Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara - $24
I absolutely love this mascara, I got it in a Tarte set from Sephora (haul post here) and I knew it would be one of my favourite from the first time.

Revlon Colour Burst Balm Stain in Sweetheart - $9
I always prefer using stains and balms over lipstick and this is no exception.  It's very long lasting and pigmented, It goes on feeling like a balm, looking like a lipstick, and with the lasting power of a stain, literally what else could you need?

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger - $32
This was the first non blush Nars product I bought, and it's hands down, the best concealer I've ever used. It always covers my purple-y dark circles and any imperfections, it isn't too thick or heavy, it stays put, highlights and doesn't crease of settle into any fine line.

HAIR & BODY
Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Colour Cream in Vampire Red - $15
I haven't been in the mood to fully dye my hair lately, I'm trying to keep it as healthy as possible, so instead I've been using Manic Panic, which is vegan and free of harsh chemicals. I find the colour payoff to be way more vivid and bright than most regular hair dyes!!

Pureology Reviving Red System - Shamp'oil & Reflective Conditioner - $30
Along with the aforementioned Manic Panic, these hair products keep my hair insanely red. I always have people asking me how I keep my hair so red without constantly dying it and I tell them about this line. I definitely want to try the other products as well, though they are on the more expensive spectrum, they both run for roughly $30.

L'Oreal EverSleek Humidity Defying Leave In Creme
I use this after every shower on damp hair and I've noticed it extremely decreases the frizz in my hair, and it also flattens my curls a bit which makes my hair easier to straighten.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream - $20
I cannot and will not get over the AMAZING smell of this product, it's my holy grail body butter. It's very sweet scented, like key lime pie.  If you've never smelled this product you need to guy check it out!!

MISC
Our Own Candle Company - Pina Colada
Favourite Show - The Mentalist
Favourite Songs of May
Floral Cut-Out iPhone Case

Kate Spade Crossbody Bag

Review: Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

So, I received this product complimentary in a VoxBox from Influenster, personally I've never been a fan of fake drugstore nails but I figured I'd give these a go. This pink colour is called Control Freak, though it's not really a nail colour that I would personally choose.. Honestly, I wasn't very imPRESS-ed (hehe) they definitely aren't as durable as they claim to be. I got two sets in the VoxBox, I tried the first set right away, it was a cute nude & black lace design and was extremely easy to apply but it only lasted about an hour before all the nails stared falling off. I tried this pink set on this morning and it lasted about 6-7 hours before one fell off.
This is what you get in each set, 24 nails in 12 different sizes, a prep pad and a nail file. They run for around $7.50 at Walmart.
The application was easy the first time I tried it but this time it was pretty frustrating. There is a little tab at the cuticle of the nail that you need to pull off to reveal the glue, I'm not sure why but these little tabs did not for the life of me want to peel off, I resorted to using tweezers on either side pull them off.  Another issue I had was the size of these nails, I don't know if my nails are wider than most but only a handful of the nails actually fit. They also fit too short on my nails and I had to file my nails down a bit so it wouldn't look odd. They would definitely work better for those who have short nails. This is apparently an issue for a lot of other people as well since I've read it several different reviews.

Overall, I love the idea of these nails since I am not a fan of all the fuss of using regular nail polish, I just feel like they fell flat a bit, they are absolutely beautiful but need more sizes and lengths and stronger glue!!
